New to the list:
- Farmer Giles of Ham by J. R. R. Tolkien
- The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories by Joseph Gordon-Levitt
- The Disappeared by Kim Echlin
- The Reluctant Fundamentalist by Mohsin Hamid
Farmer Giles of Ham was a very fun read if you are looking for a short story. It has a lazy farmer, a talking dog, a dumb giant, a dragon, and the great wisdom and magic of Tolkien. The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories is a super fast read (literally takes like fifteen minutes). It has these very interesting illustrations with tiny, but very profound one or two sentence stories. The Disappeared is a story set during the Cambodian genocide. It is an amazing read (especially if you are like me and have been to Cambodia), but I think it is a story a lot of people could relate to. The Reluctant Fundamentalist is also a very easy and great read. It is about a young Pakistani man who lives and prospers in NYC and how his life changes after 9/11. It has a bit of a romantic plot, but still very good. I have a lot of books sitting on my floor now that I plan to speed through now that I finally have a free summer!
