An Item off the List: Graduate From College

On Saturday June 14, 2014 I was able to check off another item on the my bucket list: GRADUATE FROM COLLEGE! It was an amazing day and still feels a little surreal. I think part of the reason it still hasn’t sunk in that I am a college graduate is because it only took me two years to get my bachelors degree. Β I gradated with a BS in Political Science. Though I only spent two years in college, it was an amazing experience and I owe a lot of what I have become to my time at Oregon State University. My very first term of college I had a 9:00am Chemistry class and the Friday of the very first week, two recruiters from Reach Out Volunteers came to speak. If it was not for that, I would have never gone to Cambodia and I certainly would not be the person I am today. If it wasn’t for my professors at OSU, I wouldn’t be headed to London in just a few short months. I owe so much to my time at OSU and I am so excited for the future.

I was also so blessed to be honored during my graduation ceremony. I was one of three students to be mentioned with honors during the ceremony and I got my picture on the jumbotron and the president of the university gave a little speech about me, it was such an amazing experience and I feel so blessed that my professors nominated me.

My degree, framed and everything πŸ™‚
